Product Innovated Fund Product Innovation Fund
The Robert M. Kerr Food & Agricultural Products Center helps keep products, jobs and dollars home in Oklahoma. However, state funds to support this essential work are increasingly constrained. The Product Innovation Fund enables the FAPC to accomplish its objective of keeping Oklahoma on the forefront of cutting-edge, value-added processing and technology.

This fund is distributed among five FAPC innovation areas: products and process development, industry employee training, food safety and security, industry waste and biofuels, and the FAPC central fund. For more information on these areas, visit www.fapc.biz/fund/.

Food Industry Internship Fund
Designed to provide students with “real world” experience to enhance their college education, the Food Industry Internship Fund provides interns with lodging and per diem expenses typically not covered by private firms providing internships. Students work in a wide array of areas, including but not limited to processing, packaging, sales and marketing, communications, and quality assurance laboratory work. Students in this program are better prepared to step into industry positions upon graduation, benefiting Oklahoma manufacturers and keeping some of our best talent in the state.

Industry Advisory Committee Fund
The Robert M. Kerr Food & Agricultural Products Center conducts two Industry Advisory Committee meetings each year. These meetings are mandated by Oklahoma Statute (2-5-60) and are open to the public. The Industry Advisory Committee plays a vital role in guiding the FAPC to fulfill its purpose in serving Oklahoma and its value-added industry. Each meeting draws approximately $2,500 against the FAPC budget.  This fund helps to cover printed material discussed during the meeting; lodging and travel, especially those from the far corners of the state; and a working lunch.
