Administrative Assistant - Gift Planning

The OSU Foundation is currently accepting applications for an administrative assistant to support the members of the Gift Planning team and Women and Philanthropy program.  The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive support for the Gift Planning unit in securing deferred gifts to benefit OSU and to provide support for the newly reformed OSU Women’s Philanthropy program.

Duties include a wide variety of administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, composing letters and memoranda, assisting in the preparation of documents requested by financial planners and advisors and maintaining comprehensive gift planning reports and the Women and Philanthropy database.  This position requires close communication with Foundation staff, OSU faculty, alumni and donors.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years administrative and clerical experience; preferably in a bank, law office or insurance agency.  Applicant must possess word processing and spreadsheet skills and have the ability to meet deadlines.  Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are a must.

Administrative Assistant - Houston

The OSU Foundation is currently accepting applications for a part-time administrative assistant to support the Houston Regional Development Office.  Under the direction of the Director of Alumni, Donor and Corporate Relations, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive support for the Houston office in securing private funds, as well as other OSU departments.

Duties include a wide variety of administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, composing letters and memorandums and recording and tracking revenue and expenditures for the Foundation’s Houston accounts.  This position requires close communication with Foundation staff, OSU faculty, alumni and donors.

Work hours are flexible and may vary.  Qualifications include graduation from a high school and a minimum of two years administrative and clerical experience; bachelor’s degree preferred.  Applicant must possess word processing and spreadsheet skills and have the ability to meet deadlines.  Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are a must.  Office is located in West Houston (Sam Houston Tollway and Westheimer Rd).

Vice President and General Counsel

Responsibilities:  The Oklahoma State University Foundation has an exceptional opportunity for an experienced legal counsel to serve as a member of the management team in support of Oklahoma State University.  Under the direction of the OSU Foundation’s Board and President/CEO, the successful candidate will act as the in-house legal adviser, drafting, revising and reviewing corporate and contract documents, providing legal advice and support on all matters affecting OSU Foundation operations and maintaining a professional working relationship with OSU administration to ensure compliance with governmental regulations and University policies.

Director of Development - Okmulgee

Responsibilities:  The Oklahoma State University Foundation has an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Development Officer for the OSU-Okmulgee campus.  The successful candidate will be responsible for generating private gifts and financial support for Oklahoma State University while participating in the planning and implementation of a comprehensive campaign.  Based on University priorities and with the direction of the OSU Foundation’s Assistant Vice President for Development, the individual will work with the president of the campus, program and division chairs and department heads to plan and manage the fundraising effort for OSU-Okmulgee, including the cultivation and solicitation of contributions from alumni, friends, corporations and foundations.

Qualifications:  Minimum qualifications include an associate’s degree, demonstrated success in securing major gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations and 2-3 years experience in fundraising, preferably in a higher education environment or a related field.  Comprehensive campaign experience is preferred.  This position requires excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills with substantial experience in both preparing and presenting proposals.

Assistant VP for Gift Planning

Responsibilities:  The Oklahoma State University Foundation has an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Senior Gift Planning Officer.  The successful candidate will be responsible for developing private support for Oklahoma State University by managing, planning, coordinating and implementing a comprehensive estate planning and gift program, through gifts made by will, trust, life insurance and life income arrangements.  Based on University priorities and under the direction of the OSU Foundation’s Sr. Vice President for Development, the individual will work with the OSU Foundation leadership and development teams and estate planning professionals to strategize, plan and manage the gift planning efforts, while providing organizational leadership in the gift planning unit.

Qualifications:  Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with 5 years of experience and demonstrated success in gift planning.  CFP or JD preferred, but not required.   Comprehensive campaign experience in a higher education environment or related field is preferred.  This position requires excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills with substantial experience in managing a successful team with the capacity to inspire cooperation and participation.
