Family Campaign Eclipses $200K Milestone
The OSU Family Campaign kicked-off May 1, and our first two months saw 785 OSU faculty and staff make more than $200,000 in gifts and pledges. These donations were given to various colleges and units, advancing scholarships, programs, facilities and progress at OSU. On behalf of the OSU Foundation and the Family Campaign co-chairs, Jean Van Delinder and Tara Graham, we thank you for this tremendous illustration of commitment to our OSU family.

FAQ
What is the Family Campaign?
The Family Campaign IS the campaign for OSU – supported by faculty and staff. This support is paramount to our shared success because it is a measure of the positive attitude and belief in the University OSU employees share. Many foundations and companies use faculty and staff giving participation rates as a gauge for their own funding and donation levels to universities. Our alumni who continue to support the University long after they have graduated expect a high level of support from the OSU faculty and staff.
Why should I give to the Family Campaign?
Your gift is a demonstration of support for OSU. Your contributions each day through service enable greater success for Oklahoma State University and a financial contribution is another way you can be a part of the future success of the University.
How is my gift used?
You are asked to designate your gift to the area or college you would like to support. Your gift is deposited into the fund account specified on your payroll deduction form. The gift is utilized when the funds are needed by the college or area you designated.
Visit www.osugiving.com/greatestneeds to see listings for each college and campus.
How do I make a gift to OSU?
Download the payroll deduction form, complete it and send it to the OSU Foundation for processing. It’s that easy!
How much should I give?
The amount of your gift should be made based solely on your ability to give. No gift is too small, and gifts of all sizes are utilized and appreciated by the University. Charitable giving is a deeply personal choice, and we encourage you to make thoughtful consideration to the size of your gift and its potential impact.
What are the gift clubs?
Gift clubs have been established to recognize donors who give $100 or more each year.
Your gifts can qualify you for a donor club membership. All donor club members receive two OSU Foundation donor club car decals, three STATE magazines annually and Donorlink, our quarterly e-newsletter. In addition, Presidents Club members will receive invitations to all Presidents Club events and recognition of their gifts on our online donor honor roll, coming soon. All University Club members receive recognition of their gifts on the online donor honor roll as well.
University Club Membership
$100 or more annually, or $8.35 per month
Presidents Club Membership
Bronze Level-$1,000 or more annually, or $83.35 per month
Silver Level-$2,500 or more annually, or $208.35 per month
Gold Level-$5,000 or more annually, or $416.67 per month
What do I do if I already give through payroll deduction?
Please consider increasing your monthly gift. If all current faculty and staff donors increased their gifts this year by $100 (less than $10 per month) the impact would be an additional $190,000 for designated funds across the campus.
Increasing is easy; just fill out a new Family Campaign payroll deduction form.
What is a matching gift?
Many companies will match donations and your spouse may work for one of these companies. Please check with their H.R. departments to see if they have a matching gift program and take advantage of it. You and your spouse will be credited with the matching gift once it is received. It’s an easy way to double your donation.

OSU Faculty & Staff Testimonials-“Why I Give”
Jay Gregg '76, OSU Geology Department Head & Professor
Why do I give? Because not only am I a faculty member and the Head of the Boone Pickens School of Geology, but I am also an alumni!
Shelly Sitton '88, '89, & '00, OSU Agricultural Communications Professor
Where to start. I give for so many reasons. As an alumna and a faculty member, I want to support our university so that it will continue to serve students. In particular, I give to the agricultural communications program because I would not be where I am today without a solid education from this program. I know first hand how much scholarships help students, both from receiving them myself and from watching my students struggle financially. What better way to show pride in your alma mater than to give back in every way that you can?
Kendria Cost, Marketing Coordinator, Wellness Center
I love college basketball, and there is nothing in this world better to me than attending a game in Gallagher-Iba Arena. I initially began giving to OSU because of my passion for OSU basketball and my respect for Coach Eddie Sutton. About five years ago, I began working as a volunteer for the OSU Coaches vs Cancer campaign. This is a dedicated group of volunteers who work on behalf of OSU to raise money for the American Cancer Society. In addition to working with both men’s and women’s basketball, I work with a variety of OSU employees, alumni, and students. Volunteering in this role has allowed me to grow as a person, experience the true spirit of OSU, and has reinforced to me one simple thing: The more you give, the more you get back. I would encourage every faculty, staff, student, and alumni to give however they can, in whatever capacity they can, and to make their corner of the world a little more “orange.”
