Background
Justin Biassou is a senior from Acworth, Georgia. He joined OSU in the spring 2006, and since then he has been elected as Student Government Association Senator and chairman of the Student Commission Alliance Committee. Justin is an aviation education major and a licensed pilot. In the fall 2006, Justin became a community mentor for the new Village Suites. As a committee chairman, Justin and his committee will work with the city to revitalize downtown Stillwater.

In Justin’s words
When I complete my education, I hope to accomplish professionally the ability to pilot an airplane and carry passengers for an airline. I would like to be able to wake up in the morning and enjoy going to work. Airline pilots are allowed to see the world and my love of traveling only complements that interest. Professionally, I would like to also start my own airline setup on the premise of helping every passenger that would like to fly, to be able to afford the airfare. This would work by allowing charities to donate money to the airline for people that are not able to afford the airfare otherwise.

Personally, in life, I hope to become a mentor for inner city youth, because as a young child growing up in the inner city of New Jersey I felt that becoming a pilot was unattainable. Years later, I realized that reaching for your goal was as simple as wanting it so badly that you could not think of anything else. Youth must hear that message of hope and goal achievement, because it is a message that I believe is prudent for the continuation of our society. I believe anything you can do in your professional and personal career to help others makes a prosperous society. Each of my scholarships will help me to make these dreams into reality.
