Jamie Payne joins staff after 14 years in corporate sector |

The Oklahoma State University Foundation announces the addition of Jamie Payne, senior director of human resources, to its staff.
Payne, a Sand Springs native, serves the Foundation as a member of the leadership team, providing overall direction for the organization’s human resources initiatives including recruiting, compensation, benefits, employee relations, strategic human resource planning, performance management, compliance, training and organizational development.
She comes to the Foundation from MerCruiser, a Division of Brunswick Corporation, where she was director of human resources. She provided strategic human resources leadership for more than 1,000 employees in multiple manufacturing facilities during her 14 years with the company. She is accredited as a Professional in Human Resources by the Society for Human Resources Management.
She is an OSU alumna, earning a bachelor’s degree in human resource management in 1995 with a minor in management information systems. She jokes that her love for her alma mater is so deep, not only does she bleed orange but even her hair is orange.
“For us to hire someone with Jamie’s experience and skills is just what we hoped to find,” said Kirk Jewell, Foundation president and CEO. “That she is already familiar with this community and has such a love for OSU makes her perfectly suited for this position. She is a wonderful addition to our team.”
Payne’s husband, Tony, is chief information officer for Keen Energy Services. They have three children – Jacob, Alex and Erin. In her spare time, Payne enjoys being with her family, attending OSU sporting events, riding motorcycles, snow skiing, gardening, and listening to her husband and children play music.
The Oklahoma State University Foundation serves as the private fundraising organization for OSU, as designated by the OSU Regents. Its mission is to unite donor and university passions and priorities to achieve excellence.
