Capital West endows $25,000 OSU scholarship in honor of Bob Rader

Capital West Securities today announced the establishment of a $25,000 endowment in honor of Bob Rader who passed away July 15, 2009. The Bob and Judy Rader Scholarship will be available to incoming freshmen in the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University.  

“Bob Rader was a wonderful man and great ambassador for Oklahoma,” said Keith Geary, chairman, president and CEO of Capital West. “He truly made a difference through his commitment to our state and this scholarship is a way to continue Bob’s legacy of giving back to the community.”

Those wishing to honor Bob Rader may contribute to the endowment online at www.OSUgiving.com or by mailing a check to the OSU Foundation, P.O. Box 1749, Stillwater, OK 74076 with a note indicating the contribution is for the Bob and Judy Rader Scholarship.

“The Bob and Judy Rader Scholarship will provide value to business students at OSU for years to come,” said Joe Haney, associate vice president of development at the Oklahoma State University Foundation. “This generous gift will help pave the way for great business leaders in Oklahoma.”

Applicants must be Oklahoma high school graduates and must obtain an ACT score of 26 or a high school GPA of 3.5. Leadership activities, community involvement, honors and awards will also be considered.

The first scholarship will be awarded in the fall semester of 2010.
