Rolex, the world’s single largest luxury watch brand, has led the industry in providing funding for the training and education of skilled watchmakers since the year 2000 when Rolex established a grant of $1 million over five years to The North Seattle Community College in Washington, renewing this same grant in 2005.
In 2001 Rolex established its own Lititz Watch Technicum, a not-for-profit foundation that has already graduated over 50 watchmakers for the industry. Additionally, in 2004, Rolex pledged a $1 million, five year grant to support the Saint Paul College watchmaking program, in Minnesota.
Beyond this extensive investment in watchmaking education in the United States, internationally, Rolex also operates the Tokyo Watch Technicum in Japan, as well as the Rolex Training Centre in Mumbai, India.
